Obama is doing what he promised to do -- what an unusual thing for a politician. And in a city where timid half measures are the norm, he is going all in on the first two big issues he has faced: The financial meltdown, and the pending collapse of the auto industry. By making bold moves, he has, in effect, accepted ownership, with success or failure on his shoulders. That's more courage than we've seen in a very long time.

Agreed, it is an amazing thing to watch isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWhile so many right wing talkers are floundering around throwing whatever stone they can wrap their slimy little fingers on, you know deep down....really deep down in that little place that talks to them right before they nod off to sleep at night they have to be thinking, "He really is a good President." I of course am referring to the ones who are not completely blinded by their ideology. Those sorts are just plain ticked that they cant get a rise or a ruffled feather out of our cool cool Mr. Prez.
I am trying hard to figure out ways to bring things to my sons attention (he is 6) so that he will have some recollection of being around during this period and witnessing some of this "change". Nice blog by the way, glad I found you.
